At Emerald Coast Senior Transitions, our mission goes far beyond packing boxes and organizing spaces. We are deeply committed to building a robust web of support for older adults and their families across our beautiful coastal communities.

Yesterday, we sat down for a wonderful collaborative meeting at the Courtyard Marriott in Destin with Jennifer Crawford from ownatthebeach.com. The energy in the room was fantastic as we discussed the massive growth in the senior transition space and our shared passion for serving seniors along the Emerald Coast.

Raising the Bar for Senior Relocations

One of our biggest takeaways from our time with Jennifer was the critical importance of keeping up with industry-best standards. While we are incredibly proud of our current Certified Relocation Transition Specialist (CRTS) credentials, we are officially taking things to the next level. Inspired by our conversation, our team is jumping headfirst into securing the global NASMM (National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers) certification. This gold standard ensures we continue providing the highest-quality, most compassionate late-life relocation care possible.

Keeping a Pulse on Local Infrastructure

We also chatted about exciting regional developments that will directly benefit our clients. Local leadership is making incredible strides, including the Walton County Board of County Commissioners' approval of $500,000 for a brand-new Community Senior Center at the South Walton Annex Complex off Highway 98. Once built, this permanent home for the Coastal Seniors of South Walton (CSSW) will be a massive asset for localized wellness and educational programming.

Building Community Connections

A huge thank you to Jennifer for pointing us toward some incredible regional advocacy resources, including local dementia-care networks and the leadership team over at Caring & Sharing of South Walton. We are so excited to connect with local organizations, map out future educational speaking engagements at regional venues like Good News Church, and dive into upcoming local wellness fairs.

We love collaborating with like-minded professionals like Jennifer who share our vision. When community leaders work together, our seniors win!
